DFS Construction Corporation was founded on the singular principle of being the most responsible construction choice available to our clients. Capitalizing on their extensive experience, DFS team members are able to address the unique characteristics inherent in each project. Our project teams’ experience spans both public and private sector projects, containing elements of structural modification, specialized systems and finishes, secure facilities, building system upgrades, and 3rd party vendor integration. Applying their expertise to the construction process enables our teams to deliver a greater capacity of work without compromising quality, communication or schedule. As a result, our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Robert Digiovanni
Principal
Mr. DiGiovanni is responsible for the financial day-to-day operations of the company. This includes overseeing all invoicing, controlling cash flow, and procuring project material. In addition, Mr. DiGiovanni holds the 30 hour OSHA certification and visits the active jobsites on a weekly basis to ensure that all OSHA practices are followed. He is responsible for project insurance, bonding, and contract review and implementation. Mr. DiGiovanni holds a BA degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida, is a Certified Public Accountant, and has been in the construction industry for over 20 years.
Grant J. Stephens III
Leed AP—Principal
Mr. Stephens is responsible for management team oversight. As a LEED accredited professional with over 15 years of experience in the delivery of LEED projects, Mr. Stephens is responsible for the integration of sustainable practices into all of DFS Construction’s projects. During his 20+ years in the commercial construction industry, Mr. Stephens has built, managed and delivered in excess of 7 million square feet of commercial space. He works closely with the estimating and preconstruction group to deliver the commitments made during the bid and budget process. Mr. Stephens holds a BA in Architectural Design and an MS in Construction Science Management from Clemson University.
Ed Wood
Director of Operations
Mr. Wood is responsible for day to day project operations at DFS Construction. As a leader in the commercial construction industry for over 18 years, Mr. Wood is adept at building law firms, associations, television and radio studios, historic preservation, full scale building renovations and repositioning. Mr. Wood works closely with owners, architects and engineers to advise and implement project phasing, logistics and schedule analysis on some of the markets most technically difficult projects. Mr. Wood holds a Bachelor of Science and continued graduate studies at Salisbury University.
James Maxwell
Project Executive
With over 17 years of experience as a project manager in the commercial construction market, Mr. Maxwell is responsible for complete project coordination from mobilization through close-out. He has been recognized for his skill with highly technical projects, quality control and thorough communication. Mr. Maxwell graduated from Georgetown University.
