The IIE project was a successful job from start to finish. The teams all worked well together and the coordination amongst DFS and the subcontractors, as well as the architect, owner, owner vendors, building, etc., was impressive. Like a lot of large office spaces, the hard work on this project was done early with all infrastructure rough-in and coordination of furniture, AV, LV, IT, and supplemental mechanical units done at the beginning. There were close to 100 core drill locations, half of which were located over the offices of M&T Bank. Almost every office had a digital room scheduler mounted to a glass frame.

The vast majority of the space required extensive floor leveling for the demountable glass partitions as well as the request for a “perfectly level conference room area”. The owner, construction manager, and design team were all based out of New York, adding an additional level of complexity. Despite this, all changes and special requests were successfully communicated to the field and executed without a hitch. The project was deemed an overwhelming success by all parties involved.
