Gainwell Technologies, a national leader in healthcare technology, has unveiled a new office designed to serve as a hub for executive collaboration and strategic discussions. The space features a state-of-the-art, technology-driven conference center, reflecting the client’s emphasis on innovative and effective workplace solutions.

Gainwell Technologies, a national leader in healthcare technology, recently hired a new CEO based in Northern Virginia, necessitating the development of a new office space to support their leadership. The client emphasized the importance of the office becoming a central hub for executive collaboration and strategic discussions, requiring the design to feature a technology-driven conference center. Strategically located near Dulles Airport and the transportation hub of the Silver Line and local buses, the office is ideally positioned for accessibility.

The project scope included a feature boardroom, a customer experience center, a catering kitchen and pantry, huddle rooms, conference rooms, open workstations, and private offices. Since such a space did not exist in Gainwell’s portfolio, we were tasked with solving a unique set of programmatic requirements that demanded highly customized technological and spatial solutions. The space was built around an executive think tank at the heart of Gainwell’s innovation efforts.

A high bar was set for the overall look and feel of the office, aiming for a timeless, refined, and understated design that resonates well with external audiences. This design serves as a sophisticated backdrop for events and presentations, showcasing the breadth of Gainwell’s offerings. The suite entry opens to a large multipurpose area with access to the boardroom, customer experience area, hospitality bar, and beverage service area. Designed for maximum flexibility, the variety of space types supports events, ideation sessions, and customer presentations, allowing for multiple configurations.

The Executive Boardroom, located adjacent to the public-facing entry and hospitality area, supports meetings when executives are in town and client meetings. The Customer Experience Center, an open and informal presentation area next to the boardroom and hospitality area, features a nanolumen display wall for interactive presentations where Gainwell can showcase their products and host “Ted Talks.” The design team extensively used demountable walls for their aesthetic value, flexibility, and seamless technology integration, ensuring the space meets both functional and visual excellence.
